See What Your Google Profile Brings In
Add tracking tags to the links on your Google Business Profile, so visits from your profile show up on their own in Google Analytics 4. Free, and it runs in your browser.
Your website
Enter the page your Google profile links to, usually your homepage or a location page.
Advanced: change the tag values
Keep the medium as “organic” so Google Analytics still counts these visits as Organic Search.
- Open Reports, then Acquisition, then Traffic acquisition.
- In the table, switch the first column to Session campaign.
- Look for “gbp”: those are visits from your Google profile links.
Calls and direction requests from your profile don’t show in Analytics. Your Business Profile’s own Performance report shows those.
How It Works
Three Steps, No Sign-Up
Use the same page your profile links to now.
One for your website link, one for bookings, one for posts and one for product buttons.
Paste each link into your Business Profile, then check Google Analytics after a few days.
